Elsinore Technologies Aims to Deepen Integration in Microsoft Visual Studio "Whidbey"

Research Triangle Park, NC (March 24, 2004) -- Elsinore Technologies, elsitech.com, developer of the Visual Intercept enterprise methodology management platform for managing issues and other tasks throughout the software development life-cycle, today announces its plans to enhance and extend its integration in Microsoft Visual Studio "Whidbey".

"As a member of the Visual Studio Industry Partner (VSIP) program, we see a number of opportunities Visual Studio ‘Whidbey’ creates for Elsinore and its customers," said John Lockhart, Elsinore’s Product Manager. "Enhanced life-cycle support will enable Elsinore to more widely integrate Visual Intercept’s issue management capabilities with our customer’s development processes. Enhancements to existing tools such as Microsoft Visual SourceSafe will allow us to extend and deepen the integration our customers benefit from today."

Elsinore’s Enterprise Issue Management System integrates into Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003. This integration enables a development team working in Visual Studio .NET to access software development issues directly within the development environment, and track source code changes against issues using Visual SourceSafe over the internet. These integrations help even geographically dispersed development teams increase productivity and improve the documentation of their work.

"Microsoft is pleased Elsinore will support Visual Studio 'Whidbey'," said Prashant Sridharan, senior product manager in the Developer and Platform Evangelism Division at Microsoft Corp. "Elsinore’s solution enables our mutual customers to effectively manage issues throughout the development life-cycle."

The improved application life-cycle support in Visual Studio "Whidbey" will assist Elsinore in building its future product line, the Elsinore Methodology Management Framework. "Elsinore has been building products integrated with Microsoft development tools since 1996 and is currently building a Web services-based solution using the Microsoft .NET Framework," said Mark Uland Elsinore’s CTO. "As we release these new products, Microsoft’s commitment to its industry partners will help us develop solutions faster and increase acceptance in the market."
