Filling a Niche

Elsinore got its start by anticipating the growing need for teams of computer programmers to have a centralized system for tracking the bugs and defects discovered during software development. Seeing that Microsoft Corporation had yet to fill that niche, we set out to build and market a bug tracking system tailored to the needs of Windows developers. In 1996, we introduced Visual Intercept Professional, a suite of bug tracking tools that quickly captured the industry leadership position for defect management. We forged a strong relationship with Microsoft, tailoring both our product design and market position to leverage Microsoft's installed base of Office®, BackOffice®, Project® and developer tools, including .NET® initiatives.

Responding to Customers' Needs

Over the next few years, Elsinore continued to build best-in-class defect tracking and related incident management tools, and we launched several new Visual Intercept solutions, including Visual Intercept Studio, Visual Intercept Enterprise and Visual Intercept Project. Throughout this time of tremendous growth, we were devoted not just to establishing strong customer relationships via our responsive Customer Advisory Board, but also to expanding our offerings based on our customers' needs.

As the defect tracking landscape became more crowded in the late 1990s and into the new millennium, we concurrently recognized that many of our customers were gravitating towards full-scale, global issue management solutions. These solutions required enterprise-level scalability, integration and management.

Evolving into Enterprise Issue Management

Today, Elsinore Technologies means enterprise issue management. More than just a provider of bug tracking or IT project coordination tools, we realize that there is a need for the management of unforeseen events that can occur throughout an enterprise at any stage of a project.
